The International Critical Commentary is a critical and scholarly treatment of the scriptures. This work on Thessalonians by Frame begins with an introduction discussing the authorship, dating, and language of Thessalonians. The ensuing commentary discusses the linguistic, historic, and theological significance of each section of the text. A must for any scholar studying the epistles to the Thessalonians. This is an older series (1880-1920), but the quality remains high. It is thorough and technical – difficult to use without knowing Hebrew, Greek, or Latin.
